Cat Ultrasound

Imaging & Ultrasound

When it comes to diagnosing illnesses and other medical conditions, the physical exam is often the first step. There are many instances in which the second step will involve x-ray, ultrasound or some other form of cat or dog imaging. Body masses, limping, diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal swelling are a few examples of instances that would require advanced diagnostics. Ohio Pet Vet is pleased to offer pet radiology and ultrasound imaging services for our patients in-house. Having these services available in-house means you can get results sooner, and your pet can be treated faster. This is just one of the many ways we provide our patients with high-quality care.

Cat & Dog X-Ray

We use digital radiology technology for both the body and when performing teeth cleanings. Images are produced in a matter of seconds, resulting in less wait time for you and your four-legged family member. It enables our doctors to diagnose quickly and accurately. For more complex cases, the images can be emailed to a specialist. This technology is also convenient for our traveling or seasonal clients.

Pet radiology is useful for the diagnosis of a number of conditions related to the musculoskeletal, digestive, reproductive, and urinary systems, including fractures/broken bones, foreign bodies, and other conditions.

Pet Ultrasound

Our Ohio Pet Vet locations offer cat and dog ultrasound services to our clients for a multitude of reasons. This advanced diagnostic tool enables us to noninvasively evaluate your pet’s internal organs in real time using high-frequency sound waves. Radiology and ultrasound can also be used conjunctively for a more accurate diagnosis.

With ultrasound imaging, our team can detect:

  • Pregnancy
  • Tumors
  • Bladder/kidney stones
  • Liver/kidney diseases
  • Pancreatitis
  • Abdominal fluid
  • Abnormal lymph nodes
